Position Summary:
The Latin America Business Development and Sales Manager will develop the sales of the company’s products and services. This person will drive profitable growth in sales revenues through proactive deployment of innovative sales techniques, identifying clear objectives, impactful sales calls, and executing action plans. Initially, this is an individual performing position, direct contact, hands-on role with subordinates to be added as business growth dictates.
There are near-term potential advancement opportunities that may include the management of a small team focused on sales and technical support. This team member will work very closely with the entire PBE Group Global Sales Team, engineering, and operations to drive positive changes.
Responsibilities
· Directly drive sales and services efforts by engaging current customers and heavily pursuing new business developing new end markets
· Develop, recommend, and implement sales and marketing tactics to include distributor training, trade shows, and other customer communications that will drive revenue growth.
· Build, develop, and maintain strategic relationships to cultivate prosperous new partnerships across diverse industries
· Develop strategic sales plans/projections based on strategic plans, establish operations sales targets linked to plan, and monitor/report performance
· Establish new markets, increase customer base, and expand overall sales presence by identifying new opportunities and new technologies to add to the PBE portfolio
· Accurately forecasts annual, quarterly, and monthly revenue
· Collaborate with PBE Group Global Sales team members to develop sales strategies to improve market share in all product lines and exploit global, strategic accounts
· Partner with PBE purchasing, quoting, and production staff to ensure the delivery of a quality product, fit-for-purpose, on-time and on budget
· Establish a budget and work within the constraints to maximize customer interaction and support
· Properly maintain records in the CRM system
Education/Work Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field. Masters degree or MBA is a plus.
· Five (5) years sales and/or sales management experience
· Familiarity with developing distribution channels and successful sales plans
· Background in sales and business development with an engineering, electrical, or systems focus
· Experience with communications networks and safety/productivity systems in the mining industry
Physical Demands:
While performing duties, the employee may be required sit for periods of time while working or while traveling, walk, stand, occasionally lift, pull, push up to 30 pounds, or occasionally kneel, stoop, bend as determined necessary.
Capabilities/Skills:
· Self-motivated, dedicated individual with outstanding intrapersonal skills
· Must have more than five (5+) years success in establishing B2B tangible product sales
· Solid presentation skills for both on-site and boardroom settings
· Must be familiar with the Leaky Feeder and collision avoidance market
· Must have a proven track record of customer development, retention, goal attainment, and achieving or exceeding sales goals or targets
· Must have the ability to travel via ground or air transportation up to 50% of the time
· Must have easy access to airports for travel with limited commute time
· Must have appropriate Visas, or be able to obtain appropriate Visas as necessary for travel
· Able to communicate effectively through written and verbal methods
· Strong technical aptitude and ability to lead technical discussions
· Bilingual (English/Spanish) in both verbal and written communication skills
· Fluent with Microsoft Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams, etc.) and ability to be trained in other software platforms as deemed appropriate
· Able to adapt to a fast-paced environment
· Attention to detail and ability to correct as needed
· Ability to analyze information in a real time environment while seeking resolution, solving problems, and proactively assessing work patterns for a more efficient outcome
· Ability to learn product line
Preferred Skills:
· Extensive and established network of distributors, potential partners, and industry contacts in the mining and construction industries
· Experience with confined space or underground communications in the mining or tunnel industries
· General understanding of DAS, LTE, and Leaky Feeder communication systems
· Experience with communication network and safety/productivity systems in the mining, construction, or various other applicable industries
