JOB DESCRIPTIONFunctional Reporting: General CounselTitle: Legal Counsel

Location: Ahmedabad

We are looking for a seasoned In-house Legal Counsel with strong experience in litigation, dispute resolution, and regulatory laws (IPR, FSSAI, Drugs & Cosmetics Act) to join our legal team in Ahmedabad. Preferred background of Pharma or FMCG.

Role SummaryYou will lead end-to-end litigation management and dispute resolution, ensuring legal risk mitigation and safeguarding business interests across the organization.

Key ResponsibilitiesManage the complete litigation lifecycle - risk assessment, pre-litigation, mediation, and court proceedingsHandle matters related to IPR, FSSAI, Drugs & Cosmetics Act, Legal Metrology, Labour LawsDraft and review legal notices, pleadings, affidavits, and case documentsPartner with business teams to provide practical legal advisory and risk mitigation strategiesCoordinate with external counsel and law firms for effective case managementTrack litigation progress, maintain MIS, and update senior leadershipManage legal spend and ensure compliance with internal processes

Functional CompetenciesStrong planning & execution with adherence to TATExcellent stakeholder communication & coordinationSharp legal analysis, problem-solving & advisory skillsHigh ownership, resilience, and ability to work independently

QualificationsLLB (5-year) from a reputed institute8-10 years of in-house legal experience in FMCG or PharmaDeep expertise in litigation, IPR, FSSAI, and Drug LawsProven experience handling regulatory and dispute matters
