Role summary: To lead and manage finance, accounting, costing, and compliance activities at the factory level, ensuring strong financial controls, accurate reporting, statutory compliance, and effective support to plant operations.
Key Responsibilities: Financial Accounting & ReportingOversee end-to-end factory accounting including books of accounts, month-end and year-end closures.Ensure accurate preparation of P&L, Balance Sheet, and MIS for the factory.Track and analyze factory-level costs, variances, and margins.Support consolidation and reporting to corporate finance.
Costing & BudgetingManage product costing, BOM validation, and cost sheets.Monitor material, labour, overhead absorption, and yield variances.Prepare factory budgets, forecasts, and periodic reforecasts.Partner with plant leadership on cost optimization initiatives.
Statutory & Regulatory ComplianceEnsure compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, PF, ESI, and other statutory requirements.Coordinate audits: statutory, internal, tax, cost, and GST audits.Handle notices, assessments, and interactions with tax authorities.
Working Capital & Inventory ControlMonitor inventory valuation, slow-moving and obsolete inventory.Ensure accurate stock accounting and reconciliation with physical counts.Manage receivables, payables, and cash flow at factory level.
Internal Controls & Process ImprovementImplement and strengthen internal controls and SOPs.Ensure compliance with company policies and audit requirements.Drive process automation and ERP discipline at the factory.
Stakeholder & Team ManagementAct as finance business partner to Plant Head and operations teams.Lead and develop factory finance and accounts team.Coordinate with corporate finance, SCM, production, and quality teams.
What We're Looking For10 to 15 years of experience in Finance & AccountsStrong exposure to manufacturing / factory environment.Strong hands-on experience in costing, GST, and factory accounting.Experience with ERP systems (SAP / Oracle / Tally / other manufacturing ERPs).CA / ICWA / MBA (Finance) / M. Com preferred
