Mechanical Development Engineer (Design Engineer) (Electrical Panel Enclosure Industry – Karnataka) Role Identity & Purpose Job Title: Mechanical Development Engineer (Design Engineer) Department: Mechanical Design Reports To: Design Manager Location: Kaggalipura, Bangalore, Karnataka Role Purpose The Mechanical Development Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing electrical panel enclosures and sheet metal assemblies in alignment with customer specifications, industry standards, and internal manufacturing capabilities. The role ensures technically sound, cost- effective, and production ready designs that support operational efficiency and business growth. Contribution to Business Goals: • Enables revenue generation through accurate and competitive designs • Reduces rework and production errors through design precision • Ensures compliance with IEC standards • Improves manufacturing efficiency through design optimization • Drives cost reduction via material and process improvements Key Outcomes (Deliverables-Oriented) Top Measurable Outcomes 1. Ensure ≥ 98% design accuracy (minimal production rework due to design errors) 2. Achieve ≥ 95% on-time release of drawings as per project schedule 3. Reduce material cost through optimized design (minimum 3–5% annual saving target) 4. Ensure 100% compliance with relevant standards (IEC) 5. Maintain BOM accuracy ≥ 99% 6. Support production approval ≥ 95% 7.
