We are seeking a high-caliber Paint Shop Technical Manager to join our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Subang. This role is pivotal in ensuring our world-class EVs meet the highest aesthetic and protective standards while maintaining a highly efficient, sustainable, and technologically advanced production environment. ✅ QualificationsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical field.Experience: Minimum 8–10 years in automotive paint shop operations, with at least 3–5 years in a managerial or senior technical leadership role.Technical Proficiency: Deep expertise in Pre-treatment (PT), Electro-deposition (ED), Sealing, and Topcoat processes (Waterborne/Solvent-borne systems).Automation: Advanced knowledge of robotic spray applicators and automated paint circulation systems.Problem Solving: Expert-level capability in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Statistical Process Control (SPC) to maintain high "First Time Through" (FTT) rates.Communication: Fluent in English to collaborate with global stakeholders and Vietnamese HQ.Mobility: Willingness to be based permanently at the VinFast Subang Plant.
?️ ResponsibilitiesProcess Leadership: Lead the technical roadmap for the Subang Paint Shop, ensuring all chemical and mechanical processes align with global quality and sustainability benchmarks.Operational Optimization: Oversee the stabilization of paint application parameters to maximize efficiency and minimize Cost Per Vehicle (CPV) during plant scale-up.Quality & Defect Analysis: Collaborate with the Quality Team to eliminate chronic defects (orange peel, craters, inclusions) through advanced engineering solutions.Vendor Management: Manage relationships with Tier 1 chemical and paint suppliers to ensure material consistency and lead trials for new technologies.Sustainability & K3: Ensure the facility operates within strict VOC emission limits and meets all Indonesian environmental (AMDAL) and safety (K3) regulations.Facility Oversight: Direct the technical upkeep of robotic systems, conveyor lines, and ovens to ensure maximum uptime in a high-volume production environment.Mentorship: Train and upskill the local engineering team in Subang, fostering a culture of technical excellence and discipline.
