1. ZapBooks
ZapBooks AI is an accounting automation and financial reporting platform designed to make accountants significantly more productive.
Our platform helps Chartered Accountants, accounting firms, SMEs, and finance teams automate document collection, bookkeeping, GST and TDS-related workflows, reconciliations, invoice circulation, and management reporting. ZapBooks AI works alongside platforms such as Tally and Zoho to simplify day-to-day finance operations.
2. ZapLease
ZapLease is an AI-powered lease accounting platform designed to simplify Ind AS 116 and IFRS 16 compliance. It extracts key terms from lease agreements, automates right-of-use asset and lease liability calculations, and manages the complete lease lifecycle.
The platform also handles lease modifications, approval workflows, journal entries, disclosures and audit trails through a centralised dashboard. By reducing spreadsheet dependency and manual calculations, ZapLease helps finance teams achieve faster, more accurate and audit-ready lease reporting.
3. ZapRecon
ZapRecon is an intelligent reconciliation platform that helps businesses compare accounting records with external financial and compliance data. It automatically identifies matched transactions, discrepancies, missing entries and exceptions that require attention.
By reducing manual effort and providing a clear reconciliation dashboard, it enables finance teams to close books faster and more accurately. ZapRecon brings greater control, transparency and audit readiness to the entire reconciliation process.
We are looking for a hands-on Pre-Sales and Business Development professional who can understand customer requirements, demonstrate our product, build a qualified sales pipeline, and convert opportunities into long-term customers.
The ideal candidate should be comfortable interacting with Chartered Accountants, business owners, CFOs, finance teams, and accounting professionals. This role requires a combination of consultative selling, product demonstration, relationship management, and commercial negotiation.
Business Development
- Identify and develop new business opportunities among Chartered Accountants, accounting firms, SMEs, CFOs, and finance teams.
- Generate leads through LinkedIn, referrals, industry networks, partnerships, events, and outbound campaigns.
- Build and manage a structured sales pipeline from prospecting through closure.
- Conduct discovery calls to understand the customer’s accounting processes, operational challenges, and automation requirements.
- Prepare commercial proposals, pricing recommendations, and ROI-based business cases.
- Negotiate commercials and close subscription and enterprise deals.
- Maintain regular follow-ups and ensure opportunities progress through the sales cycle.
- Develop relationships with Tally partners, Zoho partners, CA networks, and accounting consultants.
- Conduct product demonstrations for prospects and existing customers.
- Translate customer requirements into suitable ZapBooks AI workflows and solutions.
- Explain accounting automation features in a simple and business-focused manner.
- Coordinate proof-of-concept exercises and customer trials.
- Work with the product and implementation teams to configure customer-specific demonstrations.
- Prepare presentations, proposals, solution notes, and responses to customer questionnaires.
- Collect market feedback and communicate product requirements to the development team.
- Support customer onboarding and ensure a smooth handover to the implementation or customer-success team.
- 4–5 years of experience in B2B SaaS sales, pre-sales, business development, ERP, CRM, fintech, accounting software, or workflow automation.
- Experience conducting product demonstrations and solution presentations.
- Strong prospecting, lead qualification, follow-up, negotiation, and deal-closing skills.
- Ability to understand business processes and recommend suitable technology solutions.
- Experience managing opportunities through a CRM system.
- Good proposal-writing and presentation skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in an early-stage, fast-growing organisation.
- Willingness to take ownership of the complete sales cycle.
- Experience selling accounting, ERP, fintech, or finance-automation solutions.
- Familiarity with Tally, Zoho Books, Zoho CRM, GST, TDS, or accounting workflows.
- Experience selling to Chartered Accountants, CFOs, finance controllers, or SME owners.
- Experience with product trials, proof-of-concept engagements, or software implementation.
- Existing relationships within CA, Tally, Zoho, or SME communities.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, commerce, engineering, or a related field.
