Job Summary / OverviewResponsible for the end-to-end procurement of pork and poultry products, ensuring stable supply, competitive pricing, quality compliance, and effective inventory management to support business growth and operational requirements.
Job Description:This role sits within the Procurement team and is responsible for the sourcing, planned buying, and end-to-end management of pork and poultry categories across local and overseas suppliers. The incumbent works closely with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and operations teams to ensure timely procurement, cost efficiency, supply continuity and product quality. The role exists to secure reliable supply of pork and poultry products that meet commercial, quality, and regulatory requirements while supporting sales, margin, and stock objectives.
Manage end-to-end procurement activities for pork and poultry products, including sourcing, price negotiation, order placement, and supplier coordinationSupport demand planning and buying forecasts to align procurement activities with sales plans and stock targetsDevelop and maintain strong relationships with local and overseas suppliers to ensure continuity of supply and commercial competitivenessMonitor market trends, cost movements, and supply conditions to support informed buying decisionsWork closely with internal teams (Sales, Operations, QA, Finance) to align procurement plans with demand forecasts and inventory targetsEnsure products comply with regulatory, quality, and food safety requirementsMonitor stock levels, slow-moving inventory, and expiry risks, and propose mitigation actionsSupport supplier evaluations, onboarding, and periodic performance reviewsPrepare procurement-related reports, analysis, and documentation as required
Job Requirement: Required Qualifications / Skills Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Food Science, or a related disciplineMinimum 2–5 years of procurement or buying experience, preferably in pork and poultry categoriesKnowledge of meat specifications, cuts, and supply chain dynamics is an advantageStrong negotiation, analytical, and cost management skills
