THE ROLE We are hiring a Lead - Quality Engineering to take complete responsibility for Eloit's Quality Engineering function across Edisapp, Kristapp, BibleOn, Credisapp, and future products. This is the senior engineering role at Eloit, reporting directly to the Associate Vice President - Excellence. The role requires a hands-on engineering leader who can lead the QA team in planning, executing, and improving testing processes while ensuring smooth collaboration with development and business teams.
The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in software testing, leadership capabilities, and a proactive approach to quality improvement and process excellence. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Quality Assurance Leadership - Lead and manage quality engineering activities across multiple products, ensuring delivery of high-quality, reliable software. Test Strategy & Planning - Define, implement, and continuously improve test strategies, test plans, and quality standards aligned with business and technical requirements.
Automation Framework Development - Design and maintain scalable automation frameworks for web, mobile, and API testing to maximise coverage and efficiency. Hands-on Testing & Validation - Actively participate in functional, regression, integration, performance, and API testing; support critical issue resolution. Team Management & Mentorship - Mentor and guide QA engineers through reviews, technical direction, and best-practice coaching.
Defect Tracking & Root Cause Analysis - Drive effective defect management, issue tracking, and root cause analysis to enhance product stability. CI/CD & Release Coordination - Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to embed testing into CI/CD pipelines and ensure smooth release validation. Quality Standards & Process Improvement - Establish QA processes, documentation standards, reusable test assets, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Cross-Functional Collaboration - Partner with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to uphold quality objectives across the full software development lifecycle. REQUIREMENTS Experience - 3+ years in Quality Engineering and Software Testing, with proven expertise across multiple projects in a service-based or product development environment. Testing Expertise - Strong knowledge of manual and automated testing methodologies for web, mobile, and API-based applications.
Automation Skills - Hands-on experience with automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Appium, Playwright, or similar technologies. Test Planning & Analysis - Strong ability to analyse business requirements, identify test scenarios, and create effective test strategies and test cases. API & Database Testing - Experience in API testing using Postman or Rest Assured, along with basic knowledge of SQL and database validation.
Defect Management - Proficiency in defect tracking, root cause analysis, and quality reporting using tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms. CI/CD & Quality Processes - Experience integrating testing within CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps. Leadership - Experience leading QA teams in Agile/Scrum environments, covering sprint planning, task allocation, review processes, and mentoring junior engineers.
Quality Mindset - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with a proactive approach toward continuous quality improvement.
