Role Description Champion Plastics is hiring a Quality Assurance Manager for our Hosur / SIPCOT facility. This is a full-time, on-site role for a practical and hands-on quality leader who can strengthen factory quality systems, improve shopfloor discipline, and support our next phase of manufacturing growth. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in quality assurance or quality control within a manufacturing environment and should be comfortable working close to the shopfloor.
This person will be responsible for leading quality across incoming inspection, in-process inspection, final inspection, dispatch quality, customer quality, quality systems, documentation, audit readiness, root-cause problem solving, and shopfloor training. This role is not limited to documentation or audit preparation. We are looking for someone who can actively identify quality gaps on the shopfloor, work with operators and supervisors to prevent defects, strengthen inspection standards, improve corrective action discipline, and build quality systems that are followed consistently in daily operations.
A key focus of this role will be to improve quality ownership across the factory by training operators, laborers, inspectors, and supervisors on quality standards, defect identification, process discipline, and customer requirements. Key Responsibilities Own factory quality performance across raw materials, vendor-supplied components, moulding, assembly, finishing, and dispatch. Lead incoming inspection, in-process inspection, final inspection, dispatch quality, customer quality, and quality systems.
Strengthen inspection standards, acceptance criteria, process checks, escalation routines, and quality records. Lead IATF 16949 audit readiness, internal audit preparation, documentation control, non-conformance closure, and corrective action follow-up. Spend regular time on the shopfloor to identify quality risks, investigate defects, explain issues, and drive corrective actions with operators and supervisors.
Lead customer complaints, containment actions, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and closure discipline. Improve quality documentation, work instructions, inspection formats, process check sheets, control plans, and audit routines. Train operators, laborers, inspectors, and supervisors on quality standards, defect prevention, inspection methods, and process discipline.
Track and improve quality KPIs including rejection, rework, scrap, customer complaints, vendor quality, first-pass yield, and recurring defects. Work closely with production, maintenance, stores, purchase, suppliers, and customer-facing teams to improve quality performance. Build a practical shopfloor quality culture where quality is controlled at the source and not only at final inspection.
What We’re Looking For Minimum 10 years of experience in quality assurance or quality control, preferably in plastics, moulded components, automotive components, assembly, packaging, or high-volume manufacturing. Strong hands-on experience managing factory quality across incoming, in-process, final, dispatch, customer, and supplier quality. Strong experience with IATF 16949 audits, internal audits, documentation, audit preparation, non-conformance closure, and audit readiness.
Practical understanding of plastic moulded components, assembly quality, inspection systems, customer quality requirements, and defect prevention. Strong root-cause problem-solving capability with hands-on experience in 5 Why, CAPA, 7 QC tools, defect analysis, and corrective action implementation. Exposure to PPAP, APQP, control plans, process audits, inspection standards, and customer quality documentation is preferred.
Ability to train operators, laborers, inspectors, and supervisors on quality standards and shopfloor process discipline. Ability to build quality systems that work practically on the shopfloor, not just on paper. Strong communication skills for customer quality discussions, internal escalation, team training, and cross-functional coordination.
Hindi communication capability is strongly preferred for interaction with North Indian operators. Tamil or Kannada is an added advantage for local workforce interaction. BE/B.Tech in Mechanical, Plastics, Production, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.
Prior experience in supplier quality, customer quality, automotive components, or plastic component manufacturing is preferred. Posting close date - 17.06.2026
