Research & Development Supervisor (Food Technology)

Job Summary Alamii Food is an FMCG start up that produces modern kids' snacks that are healthy and delicious. We are seeking a proactive and hands-on R&D Supervisor to lead product development and innovation initiatives within our growing FMCG business. This role will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end product development, managing R&D activities, and ensuring alignment with business objectives. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, leadership capability, and a strategic mindset to drive innovation while maintaining product quality, efficiency, and scalability. ResponsibilitiesLead and manage end-to-end product development from concept to commercialization (formulation, trial, scale-up, and launch)Conduct and oversee market research, competitor analysis, and trend identification to drive innovation pipelineTranslate consumer insights into actionable product concepts and improvementsSupervise R&D activities including lab trials, product testing, and validation processesEnsure all product development meets quality, regulatory, and commercial requirementsCollaborate closely with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Production, QA/QC, Supply Chain) to ensure successful product executionManage relationships with suppliers, co-manufacturers, and external partnersIdentify opportunities for cost optimization, process improvement, and product enhancementGuide and mentor junior R&D team members Stay updated with industry trends, ingredients innovation, and technological advancements

QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Food Technology or related fieldMinimum 4–7 years of experience in R&D within FMCG / Food IndustryProven experience handling product development from concept to launchStrong understanding of ingredients, formulation, and food processingExperience in working with cross-functional teams and managing projectsStrong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skillsPassion for developing healthy and innovative food productsAbility to work in a fast-paced and growing environment
