Join a role where you use your engineering knowledge, customer focus, and sales drive to understand customer needs, present clear flow control solutions, and close deals. You will support customers through the full sales cycle, from technical discussions and product demonstrations to proposals, quotations, and contract negotiations.
This is a role for someone who enjoys connecting industrial processes, valve applications, and customer relationships in practical ways. You will work closely with engineering, product development, and service teams to make sure solutions are feasible, competitive, and aligned with customer expectations.**Your responsibilities*** You will act as the primary technical point of contact for customers, giving product demonstrations, technical presentations, and expert advice on Valmet Flow Control solutions.* You will identify customer requirements through effective questioning and analysis, then translate them into clear technical proposals.* You will collaborate with engineering, product development, and service teams to ensure proposed solutions are feasible and meet customer expectations.* You will prepare and deliver competitive quotations, proposals, and tender responses, and negotiate pricing and contract terms with customers.* You will build long-lasting customer relationships, manage sales forecasts and pipelines, follow market developments, attend industry events, and support customers after the sale.**Expectations for you*** You have a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, such as Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, or another related technical field.* You bring relevant experience in sales engineering, application engineering, or technical sales, preferably in the flow control, valve, or process industry.* You understand industrial processes, fluid dynamics, and valve applications, and can explain complex technical concepts clearly to different audiences.* You communicate well, present with confidence, build strong customer relationships, and have a proven record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.* You are proficient in CRM software, such as Salesforce, and Microsoft Office Suite; you can travel frequently to customer sites and company meetings;* You are fluent in English, and Italian proficiency is a significant plus.**To succeed in this role**To succeed in this role, you will combine technical expertise with strong sales acumen. You will need to understand customer needs, connect those needs to practical flow control solutions, and guide customers through proposals, quotations, tenders, and contract discussions.
