Job Description
As a Sales Representative focused on Staffing Sales and Lead Generation, you will drive new business for Trident’s IT staffing services. You will be the first point of contact for potential clients reaching out to hiring managers, HR and talent acquisition leaders, and corporate vendor or procurement contacts to introduce Trident’s staffing solutions and build a strong, qualified pipeline for our senior sales team. This is a high-impact, outbound-driven role for someone who is energized by the phone, builds relationships quickly, and wants to grow within a fast-scaling staffing company.
Responsibilities
- Conduct outbound cold calls and emails to prospective clients to introduce Trident’s IT staffing solutions.
- Identify and engage decision-makers hiring managers, HR and talent acquisition leaders, and corporate procurement or vendor management contacts to uncover new staffing opportunities.
- Qualify leads and set appointments for the senior sales team to take forward.
- Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of leads through consistent follow-up and relationship-building.
- Conduct market research to understand client needs and tailor outreach messaging accordingly.
- Track all outreach activity and pipeline progress in the CRM, keeping records accurate and current.
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to refine messaging, target lists, and outreach strategy.
- Represent Trident on LinkedIn and other professional channels to build visibility and generate inbound interest.
- Stay current on staffing industry trends and competitor activity to sharpen positioning and talking points.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in cold calling, appointment setting, or inside sales — staffing/recruitment industry experience strongly needed
- Comfortable engaging both individual hiring managers and larger corporate accounts or procurement/vendor contacts.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate value clearly and persuasively.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with CRM software required.
