Your Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop and execute social media and content strategies aligned with client objectives, sector context, and brand voice.
- Translate complex policy, development, and corporate narratives into clear, engaging, platform-native content across formats and channels.
- Lead end-to-end content planning, editorial calendars, writing, editing, proofreading, and quality assurance to ensure publication-ready content.
- Collaborate with strategy, design, video, and client servicing teams to deliver compelling visual storytelling while maintaining brand consistency.
- Optimise content for discoverability, accessibility, platform best practices, and campaign amplification, with a working understanding of performance marketing.
- Use AI tools responsibly for ideation, copy refinement, SEO optimisation, content variations, and performance analysis, while staying updated on emerging platforms and creator trends.
- Track and analyse KPIs, performance dashboards, social listening, and audience insights to continuously optimise content and recommend improvements.
- Maintain the highest standards of editorial accuracy, ethical communication, and contextual sensitivity, particularly for government, policy, and industry-led communications across sectors such as climate, health, education, gender, and technology.
- Support influencer and KOL engagement from content planning through execution, where required.
- Manage publishing workflows, multiple client accounts, and tight deadlines while consistently delivering high-quality work.
- Build strong client relationships by participating confidently in discussions, anticipating needs, recommending innovative content solutions, and remaining calm and solution-oriented in fast-moving situations.
- Document learnings, content frameworks, and best practices while contributing to agency-wide innovation and knowledge sharing.
What You’ll Need (must-haves for the role) :
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, English, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in social media, digital communications, or content marketing in an agency or corporate environment.
- Experience managing end-to-end social media accounts, including content strategy, production, publishing, reporting, and optimisation.
- Experience working on B2B, policy, development, industry body, government, or corporate communications accounts.
- Strong understanding of social media strategy, content planning, platform best practices, and digital marketing fundamentals.
- Experience leading real-time event coverage, including live content planning, speaker highlights, reels, stories, and post-event reporting.
- Ability to analyse campaign performance, social listening, and audience insights to make strategic recommendations.
- Proficiency with AI tools for research, content development, reporting, and workflow optimisation, with a strong understanding of responsible AI use.
- Strong client servicing, stakeholder management, and project management skills, with the ability to independently manage multiple accounts.
- Experience coordinating cross-functional teams, including content, design, video, and influencer partners, to deliver high-quality campaigns.
- Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to prioritise effectively while managing multiple deadlines.
- Self-starter with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- High editorial standards, sound judgment, and the ability to maintain accuracy, sensitivity, and context while working on policy, government, and corporate communications.
- Ability to mentor junior team members, review work for quality, and drive operational excellence across accounts.
What Would Be Nice to Have
- Master’s degree in Journalism, English, Communications or related field
- Experience managing large account portfolios
- Ability to integrate social media into PR plans
- Freshly brewed coffee-making skills. But don't worry, we won't judge you for it.
