Role Overview We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Accountant who can independently own the day-to-day books of accounts, statutory compliance, and MIS reporting. You will work closely with the founders and be the go-to person for everything related to accounting accuracy, tax compliance, and financial reporting.
Key ResponsibilitiesBooks of Accounts Maintain complete and accurate books of accounts in Tally (Prime/ERP 9) Record day-to-day transactions: sales, purchases, expenses, journal entries, bank entries Perform monthly bank reconciliations and ledger scrutiny Manage accounts payable and receivable, vendor reconciliations, and ageing reports Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual closing of books GST & E-Way Billing Generate e-way bills and e-invoices for outbound shipments (B2B and bulk orders) Prepare and file GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B; reconcile GSTR-2B with purchase register Handle GST input credit reconciliation and follow up with vendors on mismatches TDS & Direct Tax Compute and deduct TDS on salaries, contractor payments, rent, professional fees, etc. Timely deposit of TDS and filing of quarterly TDS returns (24Q, 26Q) Issue Form 16 / 16A and resolve TRACES defaults/notices Coordinate with CA for advance tax, income tax filings, and assessments Payroll Compliance (EPFO / ESIC) Process monthly EPF and ESIC contributions and challans via EPFO/ESIC portals Manage UAN generation, KYC updates, employee additions/exits on the portal Support payroll processing: salary computations, overtime, F&F settlements Ensure compliance with PT (if applicable) and labour-related statutory payments MIS & Reporting Prepare monthly MIS reports: P&L, cash flow, expense analysis, revenue dashboards Track budgets vs. actuals and flag variances to management Maintain fixed asset register and depreciation schedules Support founders with ad-hoc financial analysis and data for decision-making Audit & Coordination Coordinate with statutory auditors and CA firm for annual audit and filings Maintain proper documentation, vouchers, and audit trails Support ROC/MCA compliance documentation as needed Required Skills & Qualifications CA Inter (or equivalent) with 3-6 years of hands-on accounting experience Strong command of Tally (Prime or ERP 9) - non-negotiable Practical experience with e-way bill and e-invoice portals Solid working knowledge of GST returns, TDS provisions, and quarterly filings Hands-on experience with EPFO and ESIC portals and payroll compliance Proficiency in MS Excel / Google Sheets (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, MIS formats) High attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to meet statutory deadlines independently Comfortable working in a fast-paced, founder-led environment Good to Have Experience in e-commerce, publishing, printing, or D2C businesses Familiarity with Amazon/Flipkart marketplace settlements and reconciliation Exposure to inventory accounting and inter-state dispatches Experience handling GST/IT department notices independently What We Offer Competitive salary (commensurate with experience) 5-day work week with fixed 10 AM - 6 PM hours - we respect your time Direct exposure to founders and end-to-end ownership of the accounts function A profitable, stable, growing company - no funding-dependent uncertainty To Apply: Send your CV to with the subject line
