Senior Security Automation Engineer

The security engineering team plays a critical role in building and maintaining scalable, automated security capabilities that support detection, response, visibility, and risk reduction across the enterprise. In this position you will collaborate closely with security operations, infrastructure, cloud, and network teams to develop API driven integrations and automation workflows that strengthen our overall security posture.

Main Responsibilities

What we are looking for

• Design, develop, and maintain security automation and integration solutions using Bash, Python, Go (Golang) and PowerShell
• Build, consume, and optimize automation scripts to support security operations, incident response, and data enrichment workflows.
• Develop and maintain reusable automation frameworks, tooling and libraries to improve efficiency and consistency across security operations.
• Partner with Security Operations, cloud, infrastructure, and network engineering teams to implement scalable and reliable security solutions.
• Troubleshoot, enhance, and modify existing automations and integrations to improve reliability, performance, and maintainability.
• Contribute to technical standards, standard operating procedures, best practices, and engineering documentation for security engineering and automation.
• 5+ years of experience in Security engineering and automation.

Strong Hands-on experience with:

Preferred/Nice-to-have Experience

• Bash, Python, Go (golang), and Powershell Scripting
• Working with Rest APIs and API-based integrations
• Writing, maintaining, and documenting scripts and tooling in production environments
• Experience building automation for security operations, incident response, or detection and response workflows.
• Knowledge of enterprise security concepts, controls (PCI, HIPAA, ISO), and operational processes
• Experience operating in large, complex, and distributed enterprise environments that often push the upper bounds of enterprise software
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot across systems and platforms.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills; including documentation of scripts, How-to articles, and standard operating procedures.
• Experience with Email Security platforms and integrations
• Experience with SOAR and/or SIEM platforms (Swimlane, Tines, Splunk SOAR)
• Experience with Cloud Security (CWPP, CNAP, CIEM, etc.) and services (Azure, GCP, OCI)
• Experience with Network Security tools and policy management platforms (e.g. Firemon)
• Experience building dashboards or reporting using Power BI for security metrics and visibility
