Social Media Manager
Masonry
Job Description
About Masonry
Masonry (masonry.so) is a multi-model AI creative platform that lets users create images and videos across every major AI image and video model on one canvas. Instead of switching between tools, creators compare outputs side-by-side and pick what works best.
We're bootstrapped, profitable in our early stage, and moving fast. You'll be one of the earliest hires working directly with the founder.
What you'll own:
You'll run every social media handle Masonry has - Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Reddit. Full hands-on ownership. Your strategy, your calendar, your creative direction, your results.
This is not a role where you wait for briefs. You set the agenda.
Day-to-day responsibilities:
- Build and run the content strategy across all 7 platforms
- Plan, script, shoot, edit, and publish content on a daily cadence
- Manage community engagement, comments, DMs, and conversations across every platform
- Identify trends, formats, and cultural moments Masonry should plug into
- Build a creator and community presence on Reddit and Twitter where AI conversations actually happen
- Run experiments on content formats and double down on what's working
- Collaborate with the founder on positioning, narrative, and product launches
- Coordinate with influencer partnerships and integrate UGC into our owned channels
- Track performance, report weekly, and adjust strategy based on data
- 90 days: clear content engine running across all platforms, consistent posting cadence, early signals of audience growth
- 180 days: measurable follower growth, engaged community, organic signups attributable to social
- 12 months: Masonry recognized as a top voice in the AI creative tools space across multiple platforms
What we're looking for:
- Running social media for a brand, agency, or as a creator yourself!
- You actually create content. You can script, shoot on a phone, edit in CapCut or Premiere, and ship something publishable in a day
- Deeply online. You understand internet culture, trends, and how each platform actually works (TikTok is not LinkedIn, LinkedIn is not Reddit)
- Strong writing instincts. You can write a tweet, a LinkedIn post, a YouTube title, and a Reddit comment in completely different voices
- Comfortable being on camera or finding and directing people who are
- You've used AI tools (image generation, video generation, ChatGPT, etc.) and have opinions about them
- You take ownership. You don't wait to be told what to do
- Bangalore-based, willing to work in-person full-time
Bonus:
- You already post on your own social handles and have grown an audience
- Experience with AI tools, creator tools, or developer tools brands
- You've built a community or followership of your own!
- You've worked with or alongside influencers and UGC creators
- Video editing skills!
- Basic design skills (Figma, Canva)
