Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic registered nurse to supplement the Supported Discharge Unit team at Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy. This role focuses on enhancing clinical and management skills in a fast‑paced, nurse‑ and doctor‑led acute hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborative working with a multidisciplinary team (MDT) including physiotherapists, occupational therapists, Health and Social Care Partnership staff, and social work services to ensure safe and appropriate discharges. The unit facilitates transfers of care to other environments and supports patients in returning to their own homes, prioritising individual needs.
Ensure safe, effective care is delivered, enhancing the patient experience and supporting the organisation’s objectives. Contribute to the development of care pathways and to further enhance clinical and leadership skills.
Qualifications and Experience
Post‑registration experience is desirable. Demonstrated clinical and professional practice development through experience and theoretical knowledge is also desirable. Understanding the complexities of caring for individuals with acute medical and chronic illnesses is beneficial.
Working Arrangements
This is a full‑time position requiring 36 hours per week, with a rotational schedule that includes days, nights, and weekend shifts.
