Job Description Residential Life, Housing and Food Services (RLHFS) at the University of Nevada, Reno is seeking to hire a Marketing Assistant. In this role, you will work closely with the RLHFS Marketing and Outreach Coordinator to implement and promote living on campus. This involves planning, creating content, and scheduling campaigns on Residential Life social media channels.
Content creation may include taking photos of campus, videos of on-campus events, or creating graphic design elements. Marketing Assistants will also help organize and manage Nevada Bound housing tours and staff. NV Bound tours take place on various dates throughout the academic year and the Marketing Assistant will help to organize materials and coordinate guides for each tour.
Note: This position is in-person only. Responsibilities Develop and manage social media calendar, posts and campaigns Help manage social media metrics and reporting Lead photo and video content creation Assist with planning, organizing and scheduling NV Bound Housing Tours Conduct general administrative tasks Attend department meetings or other events as required Required Qualifications Candidate must be enrolled at the University of Nevada, Reno Candidate must be a Marketing or Communication Studies major Candidate must have excellent communication skills, written and verbal Candidate must have experience with social media platforms Candidate must have strong interpersonal skills Preferred Qualifications Candidate has knowledge of graphic design tools (Adobe Creative Suite and/or Canva) Experience with Microsoft Office Prior marketing or public relations experience Schedule Expected hours to work per week: 15-20 Schedule is flexible depending on student's schedule. We would require students to be available to work shifts during regular business hours: Monday through Friday: 8:00am 5:00pm Occasional work hours on evening and weekends, as needed.
