Tax Accountant

CPA accounting practice with 3 partners and 10 staff, located in Fremantle, looking for an experienced tax professional to join our team. This role would suit an applicant motivated and confident to pursue a long term career in public practice.

Role Description

• Prepare financial statements and tax returns for all business entities, including SMSFs and individual income tax returns.
• Prepare quarterly and monthly Activity Statements.
• Process payroll and superannuation on an ongoing basis for clients.
• Liaise directly with clients.
• Provide technical tax advice on specific areas of tax / tax planning.

Qualifications

• A degree with a relevant major. Working towards CPA/CA is great.
• 4 to 5 years + Australian tax experience in an accounting practice.
• Experience with Xero, Xero Practice Manager (XPM), Xero Tax, Outlook, SuiteFiles, BGL/CAS would be perfect. Training will also be provided.
• Good technical tax knowledge, sound knowledge with FBT / Payroll Tax / Div 7A is a bonus.
• Exceptional teamwork skills and confidence to contribute suggestions.
• Excellent English language skills to be able to work directly with clients.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Proactive, motivated individual with problem solving skills.
