About the Role
BrightChamps is hiring a Talent Acquisition Lead to build and scale its teacher hiring engine across Coding, Math, Robotics, Communication, and other academic domains.
This is a high-ownership role — you will define sourcing strategies, lead a small team of recruiters, partner closely with Academic Operations, and drive measurable improvement in hiring funnel quality. If you've done high-volume or niche teacher hiring before and want to own the full function, this is the right seat.
What You Will Own
- Lead end-to-end hiring for online teachers across multiple academic domains
- Own the full recruitment funnel — sourcing, screening, interview coordination, assessment tracking, offer rollout, and onboarding handover
- Build scalable hiring strategies for both volume-based and niche mandates across India and international markets
- Manage and guide the teacher hiring team to ensure strong recruiter productivity, quality screening, and timely closures
- Partner closely with Academic Operations, Training, and Business teams to align on ideal teacher profiles, evaluation criteria, and turnaround expectations
- Track and improve key funnel metrics: source effectiveness, screening conversion, interview-to-selection ratio, offer acceptance rate, joining rate, and quality of hires
- Strengthen employer branding for teacher talent through job postings, outreach campaigns, referral programmes, and partner networks
- Ensure a smooth and professional candidate experience at every stage of the hiring journey
- Maintain process discipline, documentation standards, and communication hygiene across all hiring stages
What We're Looking For
- 4–7 years of experience in Talent Acquisition, with a strong preference for EdTech, K–12, or online learning backgrounds
- Prior experience hiring teachers, tutors, or educators — understanding of what makes a great teacher candidate
- Experience independently owning or leading a business-critical hiring function
- Strong command of sourcing, screening, assessment-based hiring, and recruitment operations
- Ability to work with cross-functional stakeholders, manage expectations, and deliver in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable with targets, funnel dashboards, and data-driven recruitment reviews
Good to Have
- Experience hiring freelance, part-time, or work-from-home teachers
- Exposure to hiring across multiple subjects, time zones, or international teaching requirements
- Hands-on experience with ATS platforms, recruitment trackers, and hiring automation tools
