Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Technical Business Analyst / Business Systems Analyst to join a large retail client onsite in North Vancouver. As a member of the Enterprise Platforms team, you will support initiatives focused on omnichannel commerce and order management. The team is responsible for the integration layers, event messaging, APIs, and data transformation services that facilitate data flow between retail, eCommerce, vendor, and downstream enterprise systems.
This role will primarily support a major initiative within the Order domain, helping ensure orders are successfully processed and managed across multiple channels and integrated with SAP and other enterprise platforms. The successful candidate will work closely with Product Managers, Architects, and Engineering teams to translate solution designs into actionable user stories, requirements, acceptance criteria, and testing plans. Day-to-Day Responsibilities Partner with Product Managers, Architects, and Engineers to support delivery of Order Management initiatives Analyze and document business processes, system interactions, data flows, and user journeys Translate architecture diagrams (L2/L3 designs) into detailed user stories and functional requirements Own the refinement and management of tickets throughout the delivery lifecycle Define and document acceptance criteria, business rules, and testing requirements Build user flows and process maps to support technical solution delivery Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure requirements are clearly understood and implemented Facilitate requirements gathering sessions and technical discussions with stakeholders Support testing activities, defect triage, and validation of delivered functionality Responsibilities Looking Ahead Support ongoing omnichannel commerce initiatives across Retail, eCommerce, and Guest Commerce domains Contribute to projects involving event-driven architecture, APIs, integration layers, and data transformation services Help improve documentation, processes, and standards across the Enterprise Platforms team Partner with Product and Engineering teams to support future Order Management enhancements Must-Haves 5-10 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Technical Business Analyst, or Business Systems Analyst Experience working within enterprise platform, integration, or distributed system environments Strong experience supporting Order Management and other commerce-related initiatives / systems Ability to understand and document system integrations, APIs, and data flows Experience creating user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and functional requirements Comfortable working directly with Architects and Engineering teams on technical solution design and delivery Experience managing backlog refinement, ticket workflows, and requirements throughout the SDLC Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills Plusses Experience with SAP and enterprise order management ecosystems (Magento) Extensive experience supporting omnichannel Retail and eCommerce platforms Familiarity with event-driven architecture, event messaging, APIs, and data transformation processes Experience with testing strategy, UAT coordination, and test plan creation Exposure to technologies such as C#, Magento, Datadog, or similar enterprise platforms and observability tools
