Job Description – Signage & Wayfinding Designer

About the Role

We are looking for a creative and technically sound Signage & Wayfinding Designer with experience in Environmental Graphic Designing (EGD). The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of signage design, wayfinding systems, material specifications, production processes, and installation methodologies. The candidate will collaborate with design, project, production, and client teams to deliver functional, aesthetically appealing, and technically feasible signage solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design comprehensive signage and wayfinding systems for corporate offices, commercial buildings, healthcare, education, retail, hospitality, and mixed-use developments.
• Develop concept designs, signage families, and visual identity systems aligned with client branding.
• Prepare detailed signage layouts, elevations, sections drawings, and details.
• Produce presentation drawings, mood boards, and design proposals for client presentations.
• Coordinate with project managers, architects, interior designers, consultants, and production teams.
• Ensure all designs comply with accessibility standards, safety regulations, and universal wayfinding principles.
• Develop sign location plans, message schedules, sign type drawings, and signage manuals.
• Specify suitable materials, finishes, lighting methods, graphics, and fabrication techniques.
• Review shop drawings and provide technical guidance during production and installation.
• Conduct site surveys and verify dimensions before design development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Graphic Design, Applied Arts, Interior Design, Architecture, Visual Communication, Industrial Design, or a related field.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in Environmental Graphic Designing (EGD), Signage, Wayfinding, or Spatial Graphics.
• Experience working with architectural or branding consultancies is preferred.
• Strong portfolio showcasing signage systems, wayfinding projects, environmental graphics, and technical drawings.
