Locum Tenens Physician Wound Care & Hyperbaric Medicine

Location: West Central Illinois
Practice Setting: Outpatient Wound Care & Hyperbaric Medicine

An established outpatient wound care center is seeking a Board-Certified Internal Medicine or General Surgery physician with Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine experience for a weekday locum tenens assignment.

Position Highlights

• Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
• Outpatient only
• No call, weekends, or holidays
• Adult and geriatric patients
• wound care visits and 1 4 HBO treatments daily
• Support from experienced RNs and an onsite APP (Tuesday Friday)
• EPIC EMR

Requirements

• Active Illinois medical license
• Board Certified in Internal Medicine or General Surgery
• ACLS certification
• Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine training and experience

Procedures

• Wound evaluations and treatment
• Debridements
• Compression therapy
• Wound VAC management
• Hyperbaric oxygen treatment oversight
• Cast application
• Advanced tissue applications
• Incision & drainage
• Callus paring
• Chemical cautery

Preferred: Punch biopsy experience.

Additional Information

• Affiliated with a Level II Trauma Center
• Credentialing target: approximately 90 days (expedited when possible)
• Travel and lodging provided by the staffing agency with pre-approval
