Purpose/Key Objectives of the Job:
- Operating as Account Manager for the Home Care (Household care and Industrial & Institutional Cleaning) business for India Region.
- Sales: Responsible for meeting annual sales growth with profitability
- Business Development: Build on existing market development plans and grow Nouryon`s presence with global and regional accounts.
- New products & Opportunities: Identify new business opportunities and drive market development with new product introduction (NPI).
- Direct accounts: Responsible for managing key accounts directly for the region.
- Channel management: Responsible for managing channel partners for driving sales, opportunity mapping, collaboration for closing sales.
- Forecasting and Demand planning.
About The Job (Job Responsibilities):
- Work in coordination with customer`s technical and marketing teams to understand consumer needs and deliver support as per customer requirements.
- Assess and understand the market needs, trends including changes in customer portfolio, competition, applications, solutions and products in the market.
- Present unique product value propositions with Nouryon`s product lines. Take field trials and develop business.
- Develop, identify and asses new business opportunities.
- Build a robust opportunity pipeline to reflect region’s potential for growth.
- Liaise with global technical teams to create synergies applicable to local market.
- Ensure customer & distributor training on product/ application knowledge.
- Prepare reports, data to be shared with internal and external audience.
- Establish relationships with external customers to support the development of new projects and help fill the knowledge gap on end applications where needed.
- Visit and help organizing local trade shows / conferences and Distribution seminars.
We believe you bring (Education & Experience):
- Degree in bachelor's in chemicals engineering / chemistry, and MBA is preferred.
- Background with Sales/Account Management in the Chemical industry specific to Home Care / Cleaning goods segment of at least 8-10 years.
- Requires strong interpersonal, analytical and communication skills.
- Takes ownership & accountability and carries an entrepreneurial mindset to find solutions and make sound recommendations.
- Self-driven & self-starter.
- Energetic/enthusiastic with strong drive and capacity for taking initiatives.
- Positive mind set and attitude, willing to learn new things.
- Travel ~60% of his/her time.
- Professional in English, verbal and written and preferably speaks the regional languages.
