With over a decade of domain expertise, the team supports startups, SMEs, and accounting firms with bookkeeping, cleanups, reconciliations, and month-end close using cloud-based platforms such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, and NetSuite. IndiLedger operates as a reliable offshore extension of its clients’ finance teams, focusing on accuracy, timeliness, and actionable insights.
The company’s services span bookkeeping, financial reporting, catch-up accounting, and ongoing compliance to help clients make informed decisions and maintain robust financial operations. Team members work in a collaborative environment that values professional growth, quality, and client success.Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role based in Delhi. The Accountant will be responsible for day-to-day bookkeeping, posting journal entries, managing accounts payable and receivable, and performing bank and credit card reconciliations.
The role includes supporting month-end and year-end close processes, preparing financial statements and management reports, and assisting with catch-up accounting and clean-up of historical records for international clients. The Accountant will work extensively with cloud-based accounting platforms, review data for accuracy, ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, and coordinate with client teams to clarify transactions and resolve discrepancies. In addition, the role may involve supporting audits, preparing work papers, and contributing to process improvements that enhance efficiency and financial visibility.Qualifications Candidates should possess strong core accounting skills, including bookkeeping, journal entry posting, reconciliations, and preparation of financial statements.Candidates should possess proficiency with cloud-based accounting platforms such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, NetSuite, or similar finance and ERP systems.Candidates should possess skills in financial reporting, management reporting, and analysis of variances to support informed decision-making.Candidates should possess knowledge of compliance requirements, audit support, and adherence to applicable accounting standards and internal controls.Candidates should possess strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Candidates should possess effective written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with international clients and internal stakeholders.Candidates should possess a relevant academic background, such as a degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA, CPA, ACCA) are an advantage.Candidates should possess good Excel and spreadsheet skills, familiarity with reporting tools, and the ability to learn new accounting technologies quickly.
