Role Overview
We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented Accounts & Administrative Officer to manage our school's daily financial operations and provide essential administrative support. In this role, you will be the backbone of our front office, handling everything from student fee collection and vendor payments to managing school records and welcoming visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial & Accounts Management
* Fee Management: Oversee student billing, collect tuition fees, issue receipts, and systematically follow up on outstanding balances.
* Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate daily ledgers, process vendor invoices, and manage accounts payable/receivable.
* Banking & Payroll: Handle bank deposits, reconcile monthly bank statements, and assist in processing monthly staff payroll.
* Expense Tracking: Monitor petty cash and track departmental budget expenditures for school events and supplies.
Administrative Support
* Front Office Operations: Respond to general inquiries from parents and staff.
* Data & Records Management: Maintain confidential student databases, enrollment files, and staff records.
* Compliance & Logistics: Assist school leadership with regulatory paperwork, inventory management for school supplies, and coordinating vendor services.
Qualifications & Skills
* Education: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
* Experience: 2-3 years of experience in an accounting or administrative role (experience working in a school or educational institution is highly preferred).
* Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (Tally) and standard office tools (MS Excel, Word).
* Soft Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to interact warmly and professionally with parents, children, and staff.
* Attributes: Strong organizational skills, high integrity, and the ability to multitask in a vibrant environment.
