Role Description The Senior Accounting Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai, responsible for overseeing core accounting operations and financial reporting for Ventures Communications. This position manages the preparation, review, and analysis of financial statements, supervises journal entries and general ledger integrity, and ensures accurate tracking of fixed assets. The role includes monitoring financial performance, supporting budgeting and forecasting, and providing analytical insights to leadership for decision-making.
The Senior Accounting Manager will also implement and maintain internal controls, coordinate with auditors, ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations, and mentor accounting team members.
Qualifications
- Strong financial reporting expertise, including preparation and review of financial statements and related disclosures.
- Proficiency in core accounting operations such as journal entries (accounting), general ledger management, and month-end closing.
- Solid finance and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Experience managing fixed assets, including capitalization, depreciation, and asset tracking.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA, CPA, CMA) are an advantage.
- Experience in a managerial or senior accounting role, preferably within advertising, marketing, or related service industries.
- Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems, along with strong MS Excel skills.
- Proficiency with Zoho is a must
- Proven Experience in finalization is a must
- Should have relevant experience in leading the team with respect to compliances
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Clear, professional communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
