Job Description
ResponsibilitiesAssess public and private credit investment opportunities within North America and globally, with the objective of producing solid investment recommendations and returnsPerform comprehensive credit analysis and financial modeling to produce investment analysis that can be executed uponAssess relative trade ideas within the Leveraged Finance marketAssist members of the team with portfolio construction and managementLiaise and cultivate strong relationships with company management teams, sell‑side representatives, and professional organizationsConduct research and analyze a variety of external managers with an emphasis on credit strategiesResearch the potential for alternative strategies in the management of portfoliosQualificationsUndergraduate degree in Business, Economics or Math, CFA in progress1.5+ years of experience in credit investing, investment banking, or private equityKnowledge and understanding of the North American Leveraged Finance marketExperience with strategies involving high yield bonds, leveraged loans, structured credit and other credit related fundsStrong verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skillsDemonstrate strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and BloombergSelf‑starter who works both independently and with a team, while fostering a collegial and creative team cultureAbility to conduct research, draw insights and convey complex ideas clearly and conciselyStrong analytical skills with experience and financial modelingCompensationThe expected salary range for this position is $120,000-135,000 per year.You may also be eligible to receive an annual Incentive Award pursuant to our Short‑term Incentive plan and our Long‑Term Incentive plan (if applicable), and to participate in our group benefits and retirement plans – details on these elements of compensation are included within OMERS & Oxford offer letters.Company InformationAs one of Canada’s largest defined benefit pension plans, our people‑first culture is at its best when our workforce reflects the communities where we live and work — and the members we proudly serve.EEO StatementFrom hire to retire, we are an equal opportunity employer committed to an inclusive, barrier‑free recruitment and selection process that extends all the way through your employee experience.
