Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Business Development Manager role based in Mumbai. The Business Development Manager will identify and pursue new business opportunities, build and maintain strong client relationships, and develop strategic proposals that align with client objectives and SOL’s service offerings. Responsibilities include conducting market research, qualifying leads, managing the sales pipeline, and coordinating with internal teams to craft compelling pitches and presentations.
The role also involves negotiating contracts, tracking performance against targets, and providing regular business development reports to leadership. The Business Development Manager will collaborate closely with strategy, creative, and account management teams to ensure smooth onboarding and long-term client satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably in healthcare marketing, communications or related industries.
- Strong skills in client relationship management, negotiation, and stakeholder communication.
- Ability to conduct market and competitor analysis, identify growth opportunities, and develop actionable business strategies.
- Comfort working with cross-functional teams and coordinating proposals, pitches, and presentations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
- Excellent spoken and written English; proficiency in additional regional languages is beneficial.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, meet revenue and growth targets, and manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
- Interest in science-driven brands and the healthcare or medical sector is a must.
