Job Summary
We are looking for a strategic and performance-driven Business Development Manager with 5–8 years of experience in the IT industry. The role focuses on driving revenue growth, expanding market presence, managing key client relationships, and contributing to long-term business strategy through effective sales execution and market insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, prospect, and acquire new business opportunities through cold calling, digital outreach, networking, channel partnerships, and referrals.
- Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers, stakeholders, and C-level executives across client organizations.
- Understand client business challenges and propose tailored IT solutions that align with their goals and budgets.
- Conduct in-depth market research to identify new geographies, verticals, and service offerings for business expansion.
- Own the complete sales lifecycle from lead generation, qualification, proposal development, negotiation, and deal closure.
- Prepare and deliver high-impact sales presentations, proposals, RFP/RFI responses, and product demonstrations.
- Work closely with marketing teams to align demand-generation campaigns, branding initiatives, and go-to-market strategies.
- Collaborate with pre-sales, technical, and delivery teams to ensure accurate solutioning, pricing, and seamless client onboarding.
- Lead contract negotiations, finalize pricing models, payment terms, SLAs, and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Track sales pipeline, forecasts, and performance metrics using CRM tools and provide regular reports to leadership.
- Identify opportunities for account growth, upselling, cross-selling, and renewals within existing client accounts.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by acting as a trusted advisor and point of escalation when required.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, exhibitions, and networking forums to enhance brand visibility.
- Stay current with emerging technologies, competitor offerings, and industry trends to effectively position company solutions.
- Mentor junior business development executives and contribute to building a high-performing sales culture.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in BE / MCA or equivalent technical qualification.
- 5–8 years of hands-on experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably in the IT / technology sector.
- Demonstrated success in achieving revenue targets and closing mid-to-large enterprise deals.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with excellent presentation capabilities.
- Proven negotiation, contract management, and stakeholder management skills.
- Highly self-motivated, analytical, and target-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Experience working with CRM tools and sales analytics is a plus.
- Willingness to travel locally and occasionally nationally as per business requirements.
