Client Solutions Manager (Funds)
Fundwave
Job Description
Fundwave is the operating system for alternative investment firms, such as PE/VC funds.
Private equity, venture capital, real estate, and fund-of-funds managers use Fundwave to run their operations — from fund accounting and investor reporting to portfolio monitoring and workflow automation. We help investment firms replace fragmented spreadsheets and manual processes with software designed specifically for how funds operate.
We're a profitable team of ~20 people serving customers across North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, and Africa. Despite managing billions in assets, many investment firms still run critical operations on spreadsheets. We're changing that.
If you've worked in fund accounting, fund administration, or fund operations and have wondered what it would be like to help shape the future of the industry through software, this role is for you.
Most customer success roles are about managing relationships. This one is about becoming a trusted partner to investment firms running their entire back office on Fundwave.
Our customers depend on Fundwave for capital calls, distributions, investor reporting, portfolio tracking, waterfall calculations, and fund administration workflows. When they launch a new fund, onboard investors, prepare quarterly reports, or scale operations, you're often the first person they turn to.
You'll work directly with GPs, CFOs, controllers, finance teams, and fund administrators across multiple continents. One moment you might be helping a venture fund in Australia structure a new vehicle, and a few hours later working with a private equity firm in New York on investor reporting.
If you enjoy combining operational expertise, customer-facing work, problem solving, and product thinking, you'll thrive here.
Build strong relationships with fund managers and operations teams, helping them get the most value from Fundwave as their firms grow.
Guide new customers through implementation, data migration, fund setup, and their first critical workflows on the platform.
Help customers navigate complex fund structures, reporting requirements, and operational edge cases. You'll often be working at the intersection of accounting, technology, and customer success.
Identify opportunities for customers to streamline workflows, adopt additional features, and improve how they operate their firms.
You'll have a front-row seat to customer needs and market trends. Your insights will directly shape product decisions and roadmap priorities.
From onboarding through renewal, you'll play a central role in ensuring customers are successful and continue to grow with Fundwave.
Help create playbooks, processes, documentation, and best practices that enable us to serve a growing global customer base.
You might be a great fit if you have experience in both worlds:
Alternative investment funds (PE, VC, real estate, fund administration, fund accounting, or operations)
B2B SaaS customer success, account management, implementation, or client services
- 2–6 years of professional experience (though we're more interested in capability than years)
- Familiarity with concepts such as capital calls, distributions, waterfalls, NAV reporting, LP reporting, SPVs, and fund structures
- Experience supporting sophisticated business customers
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to explain complex concepts clearly and concisely
- Strong ownership mindset and attention to detail
- Comfortable working across multiple time zones and cultures
- Curious, resourceful, and energized by solving new problems
- Experience at a fund administrator, PE/VC fund, fintech, or fund accounting software company
- Exposure to customers across APAC, North America, Europe, or Africa
- Experience managing implementations or software onboarding projects
- Familiarity with private markets reporting standards and investor communications
Alternative investments remain one of the largest industries still underserved by modern software. The problems are complex, interesting, and highly impactful.
At a 20-person company, there is no bureaucracy separating you from decisions. Customer feedback you gather this week can influence product decisions next week.
You'll gain exposure to fund managers across venture capital, private equity, real estate, and fund-of-funds strategies around the world.
We're still early enough that every hire meaningfully changes the trajectory of the business.
Our customers span Australia, New Zealand, Southeast Asia, Africa, Europe, and North America. We embrace flexible and asynchronous work practices, while recognizing that serving a global customer base sometimes requires flexibility in working hours.
After 12 months, customers know you by name.
They trust your judgment. They rely on your guidance. They see you as an extension of their operations team.
You'll have helped fund managers launch new funds, improve investor reporting, streamline
operations, and solve problems that matter to their business.
And you'll have helped shape the product they use every day.
