IoT Engineer (AWS/Cloud System)

We are looking for an IoT Systems Engineer to design, develop, and support scalable IoT platforms and edge systems. You will be integrating sensor networks with backend systems, ensuring reliable data collection, system performance, and operational stability.

Working Hours: Mon-Fri, Office hours (Hybrid)

Location: Central

Key Responsibilities

Develop and deploy backend cloud services and manage infrastructure to support scalable IoT applications.Design, implement, and maintain IoT and edge systems, integrating sensor hardware with backend platforms using protocols such as MQTT, AMQP, REST APIs, and CoAP.Perform hardware–software integration testing, troubleshooting, validation, and system optimisation to ensure reliability and performance.Implement monitoring, alerting, security controls, and role-based access management to ensure system stability and data protection.Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, maintain system documentation, and continuously enhance platform features and performance.Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline.Minimum 2 years of experience developing or maintaining IoT or sensor-based systems in production environments.Experience with serverless technologies (e.g., AWS Lambda), containerisation (Docker), or orchestration platforms .Experience with IoT platforms such as AWS IoT Greengrass, Azure IoT Edge would be advantageous.Familiarity with industrial and embedded communication protocols such as RS-485, Modbus RTU/TCP, OPC-UA, I2C, SPI, UART, or CAN.Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Python, .NET, or Java.Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced technical environment.By submitting your resume, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information per ScienTec’s Privacy Policy (scientecconsulting.com/privacy-policy).
