About the Role:
The US Accounts Manager serves as the primary liaison between a company and its clients. They oversee ongoing client relationships to ensure satisfaction, drive retention, and uncover growth opportunities via upselling or cross-selling.
Responsibilities:
Engagement Management:
- Review and manage complex accounting engagements, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Analyze engagement scope to manage schedules, budgets, and deadlines effectively.
- Monitor compliance with reporting deadlines and time budgets.
Financial Oversight:
- Provide CFO-level support, including financial reviews and management reporting.
- Develop and monitor budgets and forecasts in collaboration with clients.
- Maintain direct interaction with partners and clients, providing strategic financial insights.
Accounting Operations:
- Lead accounting clean-up projects and ensure books are audit ready.
- Oversee month-end and year-end closings, including review of financial statements prepared by staff.
- Manage inventory accounting and reporting.
Compliance & Filings:
- Ensure payroll compliance and manage payroll return filings (Forms 940 and 941).
- Handle sales tax calculations and filings across multiple jurisdictions.
System & Process Management:
- Lead accounting system migrations, ensuring smooth transitions and data integrity.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Assign duties, train staff, and oversee performance across multiple engagements.
- Mentor and coach team members to support their professional development.
- Supervise Senior, Staff, and Associate Accountants, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
Technical Expertise:
- Utilize advanced knowledge of QuickBooks Desktop (QBD), QuickBooks Online (QBO), and Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting.
- CA or CA inter or CPA.
- 8 Years of experience including team management.
Required Skills:
- Strong Technical, Interpersonal, Communication skills and team handling skills.
- Should have good English communication skills - Verbal and written.
- Should have good reviewer and query resolving skills.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- US Accounting knowledge.
- US Payroll knowledge.
- Advance knowledge of QBO, QBD, Xero and advance excel.
- Comfortable with US shift.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working with CPA Firms.
- Main Industry - LAW FIRMS Accounting Experience.
- Good hands on managing IOLTA Accounts.
- Finalization of Accounts.
Shift timings:
03:30 PM to 12:30 AM (Indian Summers)
04:30 PM to 01:30 AM (Indian Winters)
