Job Description
Job responsibilities:Work with system engineers to define mechanical system/sub-system design specifications.Responsible for mechanical component selection, tolerance analysis, motion system design, component evaluation, overall system integration and finally release to manufacturing and installation at customers’ sites.Leading and supervising an internal or external design partner in co-development project. Manage external vendor or contractors to deliver sub-systems that meet design specification and reliability requirements.Provide escalation support during equipment assembly, validation, customer-site. Job requirements:Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent field with 3 years or more experience in semiconductor/automation products.
Experienced in wafer fabrication process industry, semiconductor equipment industry or medical equipment industry is preferred.Strong fundamentals in mechanical concepts and problem-solving skills, including knowledge in stack tolerance and Finite Element Analysis.Proficiency with Solidworks (or equivalent CAD tools) is a MUST.Experience with vision application, thermal modeling, calculation and measurement techniques would be an advantage.Willingness to get hands-on during development cycle.Excellent communications skills, with cross-cultural awareness and understanding.Willing to work extended hours in critical phases of project execution.
