About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Public Relations Manager who can build strong media relationships, drive impactful PR campaigns, and enhance our clients' brand reputation through strategic communication.
Responsibilities
- Public Relations Strategy
- Develop and execute integrated PR strategies aligned with client objectives.
- Create annual and campaign-based PR plans.
- Identify media opportunities to maximize brand visibility.
- Media Relations
- Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, influencers, and media houses.
- Pitch compelling stories, interviews, opinion articles, and press releases.
- Secure media coverage across print, digital, television, and industry publications.
- Coordinate media interactions, interviews, and press conferences.
- Content & Communication
- Write and review press releases, media notes, speeches, quotes, articles, and leadership communication.
- Ensure all communication aligns with brand messaging and tone of voice.
- Develop crisis communication statements when required.
- Client Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for assigned PR clients.
- Understand client objectives and provide strategic communication recommendations.
- Present PR plans, campaign reports, and media outcomes to clients.
- Maintain high client satisfaction through proactive communication.
- Campaign Execution
- Plan and execute product launches, announcements, events, and brand campaigns.
- Collaborate with internal creative, content, and digital marketing teams.
- Coordinate with influencers and industry partners where required.
- Monitoring & Reporting
- Track media coverage and PR performance.
- Prepare monthly PR reports with key insights and campaign analysis.
- Monitor industry trends, competitors, and emerging media opportunities.
- Team Management
- Mentor and guide junior PR executives.
- Review team deliverables and ensure quality standards.
- Coordinate workloads and campaign timelines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
- Experience handling multiple clients across industries.
Required Skills
- Strong relationships with journalists and media publications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional storytelling and content writing abilities.
- Strong presentation and client management skills.
- Ability to work under deadlines in a fast-paced agency environment.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in education, technology, or consumer brands.
- Proven success in securing Tier 1 media coverage.
- Experience managing a team of 3 or more members.
- Stable career history with at least 3 years in the current or previous organization.
- Familiarity with media monitoring and PR reporting tools.
