Reliability Engineer
Join our mission to lead the future of snacking at Mondeléz International's Gourmet Food manufacturing site in Dandenong South. The plant produces one of the largest and most diverse range of premium cracker products under one roof globally.
How You Will Contribute
- Manage change and transformation among the operating teams within the implementation of IL6S-Integrated Lean Six Sigma journey, AM-Autonomous Maintenance, and PM-Progressive Maintenance models. Role model values and principles through coaching, mentoring, and development of the team.
- Support the manufacturing annual operational plans and targets to meet safety, quality, cost, delivery, sustainability, and engagement goals in line with the site's compelling business needs.
- Lead and be accountable to establish strong governance for reviewing, controlling operational performance and continuous improvement plans, embedding a zero-loss mindset to improve and deliver against best-in-class standards.
- Drive the operating team to identify and manage improvements to technology, culture, capability, and operating systems to deliver reliable operation.
- Ensure all manufacturing standards, governance, compliance requirements (Corporate Quality, Food Safety & GMP, Health & Safety, Security, Environment, Sustainability, Code of Conduct, Policies & Principles, Operational Standards, Local Legal Requirements, Internal Audit norms, and other procedures) are understood and regularly reviewed for effective implementation.
- Control the maintenance budget covering yearly spends on production equipment spare parts and servicing, facility servicing upgrades and repairs, and GMP compliance.
What You Will Bring
- Strong operational and manufacturing experience in FMCG industry with TPM, 5S, LEAN, and Six Sigma tools.
- Excellent communication, coaching, and leadership skills in a team-based environment with demonstrated abilities in analytics, problem solving, and team building.
- Engineer with strong financial & business acumen, project management skills, and knowledge of industrial maintenance and manufacturing equipment.
- Knowledge of SAP system.

- Accountable for equipment reliability for the site.
- Procurement of spares and services.
- Owner of breakdown analysis work process and strategy to zero breakdown.
- Focused on time-based maintenance, condition-based maintenance, and continuous improvement of maintenance tasks.
- Review planning of preventative maintenance standards and updates for new time-based and condition-based maintenance.
- Key performance indicators and key activity indicators and data analysis for time-based and condition-based maintenance.
- Coordinate with maintenance team lead and operation team for schedule.
- Ensure schedule, tools, parts, and instructions are in place for effective execution.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance steps, review of executed work orders, master data management, and compliance.
- Maintenance improvement project execution and overall planning based on budget.
- Own breakdown analysis work process, related KPI and KAI.
Education / Certifications
- Engineering degree or equivalent.
Job Specific Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in maintenance.
Work Schedule
- Regular business hours (9:00 am – 5:00 pm on-site).
