About the Company
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Sales Head to lead and drive the overall sales strategy for our nutraceutical portfolio. The role will be responsible for managing and expanding business across General Trade, Modern Trade, E-commerce, and Retail channels.
About the Role
The Sales Head will be responsible for managing and expanding business across various channels while leading the sales team to achieve business growth and revenue targets.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve business growth and revenue targets.
- Manage and oversee the sales team, including hiring, training, and performance management.
- Lead and manage multi-channel sales operations team:
- General Trade (distributors, stockists, standalone stores, special channels)
- Modern Trade (key accounts, large format stores)
- E-commerce platforms (marketplaces and D2C)
- Retail strategy and expansion
- Build, mentor, and drive performance of the sales team across regions.
- Strengthen distribution network and ensure market penetration across geographies.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and channel partners.
- Drive category growth through effective positioning and execution.
- Collaborate with marketing for product launches, promotions, and brand-building initiatives.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and consumer insights to identify new opportunities.
- Manage sales forecasting, budgeting, and P&L accountability.
- Ensure effective execution of trade schemes, visibility, and in-store activations.
- Identify new business opportunities and market trends to capitalize on.
- Work closely with marketing and BTL teams to align sales strategies with company objectives.
- Analyse sales data and metrics to evaluate performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on sales performance, forecasts, and market trends.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, follow philosophy and respect culture, as well as industry regulations.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).
- 15+ years of experience in sales, preferably in nutraceuticals, FMCG, or health & wellness industry.
- Proven experience in handling health drinks, hydration beverages, or similar categories.
- Strong exposure to General Trade, Modern Trade, and E-commerce channels.
- Demonstrated experience in leading large, multi-regional sales teams.
- Strong understanding of distribution management and retail expansion strategies.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Data-driven approach with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
