About the role Independently manage multiple accounting engagements, including bookkeeping, month-end and year-end closing, preparation and finalisation of financial statements, GST returns, and statutory reporting requirements. Take ownership of client engagements from onboarding through execution and completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards. Support Managers and Directors during business development activities, including proposal preparation, client pitches, and engagement planning.
Ensure compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS), IFRS, Companies Act requirements, GST regulations, and other applicable accounting and regulatory frameworks. Review accounting records, reconciliations, and supporting documentation to maintain accuracy and completeness of financial information. Prepare and/or review financial statements, management reports, cash flow statements, budgets, forecasts, and financial performance analyses for management, shareholders, and other stakeholders.
Analyse complex accounting transactions and advise on the related accounting and GST implications. Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, company secretaries, regulators, and client stakeholders to facilitate smooth completion of statutory and compliance requirements. Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and enhancement of financial reporting processes.
Build and maintain strong client relationships by providing responsive, high-quality service and practical solutions. Mentor and guide junior team members, including review of their work and supporting their professional development. About you Graduate degree in accounting/Inter-CA (or other equivalent qualification). 3–5 years of relevant experience in accounting, financial reporting, or outsourced accounting services, preferably within a professional services, accounting, or corporate environment.
Demonstrated experience independently managing multiple client accounting engagements, including bookkeeping, financial statement preparation, GST compliance, audit coordination, and stakeholder management. Strong knowledge of Financial Reporting Standards. Practical experience with Singapore GST regulations and compliance requirements.
Experience in corporate accounting and/or accounting for fund management entities would be advantageous. Experience in preparing or supporting MAS regulatory filings (including quarterly and annual submissions for licensed fund managers or regulated entities) would be an added advantage. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, Power Query, Lookups, financial modelling, etc.) are preferred. Hands-on experience with accounting systems such as Xero, QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP Business One, or similar ERP/accounting platforms.
