Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Core QA & Activity Audits
- Audit the daily, weekly, and monthly SEO output of analysts across all assigned Spokesly brands against documented QA checklists, SOPs, and scoring rubrics.
- Perform comprehensive quality checks on SEO deliverables before final implementation; conduct both scheduled and random spot audits.
- Re-test a sample of completed tasks to confirm work is actually implemented correctly and live—not just marked “done.”
- Identify errors, inconsistencies, and optimization gaps, and provide actionable, constructive feedback to the SEO team.
On-Page & Content SEO Audits
- Review titles, meta descriptions, headers (H1–H3), URLs, internal linking, image/alt-text, and keyword placement.
- Validate keyword mapping, search-intent alignment, and content optimization against targets.
- Audit content quality, depth, and brief adherence; review content updates and refresh efforts.
- Verify correct schema / structured-data implementation.
Technical & Off-Page SEO Audits
- Audit crawlability, indexability, robots.txt, XML sitemaps, canonical tags, 404 redirect mapping, and site architecture.
- Monitor Core Web Vitals (LCP, INP, CLS), mobile-friendliness, and HTTPS configuration.
- Review backlink quality, relevance, and authority; flag toxic links and validate white-hat compliance.
- Monitor brand mentions, citations, and E-E-A-T signals.
AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) Audits
- Audit content for answerability—clean, factual 40–60 word answer blocks under question-based headings (“inverted pyramid” format).
- Verify FAQ / Q&A formatting and schema that supports answer-engine visibility (Organization, Website, WebPage, Article, FAQPage, Product, Service, Event).
- Assess suitability for featured snippets, answer boxes, and voice/conversational queries.
- Run prompt-based visibility checks across ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, Bing Copilot, and Google AI Overviews — recording whether each brand is surfaced, cited, or named.
GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) Audits
- Audit each brand's AI citation frequency and share of voice across generative engines, benchmarked against competitors.
- Track reference / mention rate as a first-class metric alongside traditional rankings and CTR.
- Verify GEO foundations: entity clarity, topical authority / pillar-cluster architecture, factual accuracy, source credibility, and Knowledge Graph optimization.
- Assess presence on sources LLMs draw from (Reddit, YouTube, Wikipedia, directories); run region/language-specific checks for multi-market brands.
Reporting & Process Improvement
- Maintain SEO Quality Scorecards and QA dashboards per analyst and per brand.
- Raise and prioritize issues by commercial impact — a crawlability blocker or missing schema on a revenue page outranks a hundred minor metadata fixes.
- Track issues from discovery to resolution; confirm corrective actions close in the next cycle.
- Maintain and improve QA checklists, audit frameworks, and SOPs for SEO, AEO, and GEO; recommend preventive measures for recurring issues.
- Generate reports for management, run knowledge-sharing sessions, and stay current on algorithm updates and AI-search best practices.
