Company Description Konsult is a boutique regulatory and tax services firm that specializes in Indirect and Direct taxes, SEZ law, Foreign Trade Policy, and related regulations. The team has extensive experience across sectors such as e-commerce, life sciences, FMCG, manufacturing, pharma, apparel, software exports, edu-tech, fin-tech, agri-tech, gaming, and entertainment. Besides tax, Konsult also helps clients in the accounting space and provides assurance support function.
In addition to advisory and litigation services, Konsult provides end-to-end managed tax compliance solutions and automation, positioning itself as a one-stop partner for finance and tax functions.
Role Description The Accounting Bookkeeper will manage day-to-day financial records, including recording transactions, maintaining ledgers, and preparing routine financial reports. Responsibilities include posting and reconciling journal entries, assisting with preparation of financial statements, and ensuring accurate documentation for tax and regulatory compliance. The role involves working with accounting software to process invoices, payments, and expenses, as well as supporting month-end and year-end closing activities.
The Accounting Bookkeeper will collaborate with the finance and tax teams to provide accurate data and respond to internal queries on accounts. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru, and could involve deputation to client location
Qualifications
- Strong bookkeeping skills with experience in maintaining ledgers, recording transactions, and managing day-to-day accounts.
- Ability to prepare and support financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
- Proficiency in accounting software and related tools, with a solid understanding of core finance concepts.
- Hands-on experience with journal entries (accounting), reconciliations, and basic closing activities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA/CPA/ACCA, or equivalent) are an advantage.
- Attention to detail, strong numerical aptitude, and ability to work with confidential financial data responsibly.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, on-site team environment.
- Prior experience in tax or regulatory-focused firms or exposure to GST and indirect tax processes is a plus.
