Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Business Development Manager role based in Mumbai. The Business Development Manager will identify new business opportunities, build and maintain relationships with corporate and residential clients, and drive sales of table and floor box solutions. Daily responsibilities include prospecting, conducting client meetings and presentations, preparing proposals and quotations, negotiating contracts, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
The role also involves market research, competitor analysis, and developing strategies to increase brand visibility and revenue in target markets. The Business Development Manager will collaborate closely with management to set sales targets, report on performance, and contribute to long-term growth plans.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably in electrical, infrastructure, or related product segments.
- Strong skills in client relationship management, negotiation, and closing deals, with the ability to manage multiple accounts and opportunities.
- Experience in market research, lead generation, and developing go-to-market or sales strategies.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in English; knowledge of local languages is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently on-site in Mumbai, with strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Comfort with basic CRM tools, MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), and reporting on sales performance and pipeline.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent qualification is an asset.
- Prior experience working with customized products or solutions and an understanding of customer-centric selling is beneficial.
