Digital Content Creator
Humour Me
Job Description
OTT CULTURE CREATOR
Get Paid To Watch Great Stories.
At Humour Me, we believe the best content doesn’t feel like content.
It feels like a recommendation from a friend whose taste you trust.
We’re looking for people who are obsessed with movies, television, streaming culture and storytelling.
If you’re the person friends call before starting a new show…
If you’ve ever spent an hour debating whether a series is overrated or underrated…
If your recommendations consistently beat the algorithm…
…we should talk.
⸻
About Humour Me
Stop Making Ads.
Humour Me is building India’s most effective organic attention company.
We create content people choose to watch, share and talk about.
We work with some of the country’s biggest brands to build attention at scale through storytelling, culture and platform-native content.
⸻
The Role
We are looking for an OTT Culture Creator to help audiences discover what to watch next.
This is not an influencer role.
This is not a presenter role.
This is not a generic social media role.
We are looking for someone who genuinely loves stories and understands how entertainment shapes culture.
Your job will be to watch, discover, recommend and create content around the best movies, series, documentaries and streaming releases from around the world.
⸻
What You’ll Do
- Watch and track major streaming releases across platforms
- Discover hidden gems before they become mainstream
- Create short-form video content around movies, TV shows and entertainment culture
- Script and present content for Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts
- Build recurring recommendation formats and content franchises
- Spot trends, fandoms and cultural conversations early
- Work closely with strategists, editors and creative teams
- Help audiences discover stories worth their time
⸻
You Might Be A Great Fit If
- You naturally recommend movies and shows to everyone around you
- You follow entertainment news obsessively
- You know what’s trending before everyone else does
- You have strong opinions on films, television and pop culture
- You enjoy being on camera
- You understand internet culture and meme culture
- You are curious, articulate and opinionated
- You genuinely love storytelling
⸻
We Care About
- Taste
- Storytelling ability
- Curiosity
- Camera confidence
- Consistency
- Work ethic
- Learning velocity
- Cultural awareness
- Ownership
We do not care about:
- Degrees
- Fancy resumes
- Traditional agency experience
- Previous job titles
⸻
What Success Looks Like
- Creating content people actively choose to watch and share
- Becoming a trusted voice in entertainment discovery
- Building repeatable content formats that audiences return to
- Consistently spotting cultural moments before they become mainstream
- Helping audiences discover great stories they would otherwise miss
⸻
What Doesn’t Work Here
- Low ownership
- Creator entitlement
- Chasing trends without understanding audiences
- Excuses over execution
- Wanting attention without putting in the work
- Believing good content is enough without understanding distribution
⸻
How To Get Our Attention
Don’t send us a fancy resume.
Show us:
- A movie or show recommendation we can’t ignore
- A take that makes us think
- A piece of content that proves you understand attention
- A hidden gem we should immediately add to our watchlist
We’re far more interested in how you think than what’s written on your CV.
⸻
The Kind Of Person We Want
Someone who can answer:
- What should I watch this weekend?
- What’s the most underrated show of the year?
- I loved Dark, Severance and From. What’s next?
- Which new release is actually worth my time?
Without opening Google.
Someone who understands that great recommendations are a craft.
And that helping millions of people discover great stories is a privilege.
⸻
Mission
Stop Making Ads.
Help people discover stories worth their time.
Important Expectations
This role is designed for creators who want to build exceptional content at scale.
Because content creation is highly collaborative, creators are expected to work primarily from our office and production environments.
This is not a work-from-home role.
A significant part of the job involves:
- ideation sessions
- content reviews
- production planning
- filming
- collaboration with editors, strategists and other creators
We believe the best content is built together, not in isolation.
⸻
Category Exclusivity
As a creator, you may become the face of specific categories, brands or content ecosystems.
To protect the integrity of those properties, category exclusivity may apply depending on the role and business requirements.
This means creators may be restricted from independently creating competing content within the same category while representing that category professionally.
We encourage creators to build their personal brand and pursue creative interests. However, this must not conflict with the audiences, categories and businesses they are entrusted to represent.
