What You’ll Do
Responsible for managing business development through one or more partners in one or more countries. Responsible for building and maintaining a robust pipeline of new sales opportunities in Commercial Payments space through effective networking and relationship development with partners. Cultivate and expand multiple strategic external relationships to identify and scope opportunities driving profitable sales volume.
Performs market analysis and business development activities to increase network transaction volume and revenue generation.
Actively manages and escalates risk and customer-impacting issues within the day-to-day role to management.
What we’re looking for
- Support exploration of new partnership opportunities that drive volume growth
- Manage client portfolio to retain and grow existing business and explore additional opportunities to fuel volumes growth
- Work with manager to develop territory and engage partners to develop business opportunities
- Drive internal processes including; development of communications, account management, approval requests and contract negotiations, compliance and risk management.
- Works cross functionally to meet business objectives such as new revenue generation, capability deployment, or marketing program development
- Work closely with Compliance, Legal and Due Diligence to ensure proposals and contracts are effectively and accurately produced
- Strategically partner with internal and external stakeholders to identify new or additional business opportunities within existing accounts; maintain and grow relationships to attain new business opportunities and improve client experience
- Actively manages and escalates risk and customer-impacting issues or complaints within the day-to-day role to management
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or Marketing or In lieu of a degree, at least 8 years of experience in Payments, Relationship Management, or Marketing
- At least 6 years of experience in Payments, Relationship Management, or Marketing
Preferred Qualifications
- 8+ years of proven sales / product experience / account management experience in payments / banking & financial services
- Business knowledge of International Card Schemes; Issuing, Acquiring and Pricing. Card Scheme operational and policy knowledge would be helpful.
- Demonstrate proven ability to develop and successfully implement, quantifiable business plans
- Must demonstrate strong influencing and negotiation skills
- Industry knowledge and networking especially in account relationships/ acquirers and merchants
- Have an entrepreneurial approach and able to prioritize and manage parallel projects and issues
- Excellent communication skills from a written, verbal and presentation perspective
- Demonstrate multi-disciplinary knowledge, i.e. product, operations, acquiring and emerging technologies
- Client focused approach with the ability to interact across all levels
