Its broad product portfolio supports diverse applications in lifting, crane duty, flameproof environments, and specialized gear solutions.Role Description The Senior Sales Engineer will be responsible for driving sales of power transmission products, focusing on gearboxes, motors, couplings, and related solutions for industrial customers. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai, requiring regular customer visits, technical consultations, and product demonstrations.
Daily activities include understanding client requirements, proposing suitable technical solutions, preparing quotations, and negotiating commercial terms in line with company policies. The role involves close collaboration with internal teams for order processing, delivery coordination, and after-sales technical support to ensure high customer satisfaction. The Senior Sales Engineer will also identify new business opportunities, nurture long-term relationships, and provide market feedback to support product and sales strategy.QualificationsCandidates should possess strong Sales Engineering and technical solution-selling skills, preferably in power transmission or industrial products.Candidates should possess skills in Technical Support and the ability to interpret technical specifications, drawings, and application requirements.Candidates should possess effective Communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication and presentation abilities.Candidates should possess solid Sales and negotiation skills, with experience in managing the full sales cycle and meeting revenue targets.Candidates should possess Customer Service skills, focusing on relationship building, responsiveness, and problem resolution.Relevant engineering degree or diploma (Mechanical or Electrical preferred) and prior experience in industrial or engineering sales.Proficiency in MS Office and basic CRM tools; ability to prepare technical proposals and reports.Willingness to travel within the region for client meetings and site visits; strong understanding of industrial markets will be an advantage.
