Overview
We are looking for a Transport Planner / Senior Transport Planner to join our team. This role will be based at our Atkins Realis office in Bangalore/Gurgaon, India.
Your role
Appropriate academic and professional qualifications (Bachelor's Degree with Master's degree in transport planning / economics)Working experience (5years - 10years) in Transport Planning software like VISUM, SATURN, DIADEM, EMMEExperience and knowledge of Strategic Modelling techniques and guidanceKnowledge of the technical transport planning environmentStrong numerate and analytical abilities, including high degree of competence in MS ExcelAbility to work in a team as part of a wider projectExperience in leading smaller teams as part of a project deliveryGood written communication skillsBe able to work individually

Be highly self-motivated and ambitiousBe able to adapt to different cultures and working environments to build rapport with customersBe able to build excellent working relationships with colleagues and clientsKnowledge and experience of UK regional modelling guidance and approachesExperience in the use of analytical and research tools such as GIS and the use of databasesAn appreciation of the transport industry and related policy contextProfessional membership of a relevant institutionExperience in programming skills like Python, PowerBI, Excel-VBA, and R
