Job Description
Role: Vice President – Business Development
Location: Hyderabad
Qualification: MBA (Finance/Marketing) / CA / Master’s in Commerce or higher
Experience: 12–15 years in Business Development, preferably in Supply Chain Finance, Trade Finance, Working Capital
Key Responsibilities
- Business Development: Drive acquisition in Domestic Factoring, Export Factoring, Reverse Factoring, and TReDS; deliver revenue growth.
- Client Relationship Management: Build long-term partnerships with corporates, SMEs, and channel partners.
- Market Intelligence: Track competitor offerings, customer needs, and market trends to refine strategies.
- Deal Structuring & Negotiation: Customize financial solutions, lead negotiations ensuring profitability and compliance.
- Collaboration: Work with Credit, Risk, Operations, and Legal for smooth client onboarding.
- Sales Planning & Execution: Prepare BD plans, set and achieve monthly/quarterly/annual targets.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure adherence to policies, RBI guidelines, and audit standards.
- Reporting & MIS: Maintain pipeline records, revenue forecasts, and present updates to senior management.
- Brand Representation: Represent SBI Factors at industry forums, client meetings, and networking events.
Skills & Competencies requiered -
- Business Development Leadership – Proven track record in driving growth in trade finance/supply chain finance.
- Credit Product Knowledge – Understanding of working capital, factoring, and credit risk.
- Financial Acumen – Ability to analyze financial statements, CIBIL reports, and conduct KYC checks.
- Client Relationship Skills – Strong communication and ability to retain key accounts.
- Market Intelligence – Experience in competitor tracking and opportunity identification.
- Negotiation & Deal Structuring – Ability to close complex financial transactions profitably.
- Team Leadership – Prior experience leading BD teams.
- Compliance Orientation – Familiarity with RBI guidelines, audit standards, and risk frameworks.
- Sales Planning & Target Achievement – Evidence of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
- Brand Representation – Comfort in representing the organization at industry events.
