Job DescriptionHealth & Safety Manager | Cork | Major Construction Project A great new role for an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join a project team based in Cork. This is a key site leadership role responsible for supporting project delivery teams and ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, environmental, quality and wellbeing performance are maintained throughout the project lifecycle. You will play a critical role in driving compliance, identifying and reducing risk, and promoting a proactive safety culture across a complex construction environment.
Key Responsibilities Lead health and safety initiatives across the project site. Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation and industry standards. Support project teams with risk identification, assessment and mitigation.
Carry out inspections, audits and investigations as required. Drive a positive safety culture through engagement, leadership and coaching. Monitor and report on safety performance and continuous improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with site management, subcontractors and stakeholders to maintain best practice standards. About You You will have: Strong knowledge of construction health and safety legislation and industry best practice. Proven experience managing health and safety on large scale construction projects.
Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills. Excellent communication, reporting and organisational abilities. The ability to influence and engage individuals at all levels of a project.
Qualifications Essential NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent Occupational Health & Safety qualification. Professional membership of IOSH or an equivalent professional body. Experience leading safety teams or managing site based safety professionals.
Desirable Experience working with Tier 1 contractors. Experience across infrastructure, life sciences or data centre projects. Knowledge of digital safety reporting and performance management tools.
Understanding of occupational health and behavioural safety programmes. Postgraduate qualification in Health & Safety, Risk Management or a related discipline. Environmental and sustainability project experience.
