About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR Compliance Manager to join a leading healthcare organisation. This is a key role within the HR and Talent Acquisition function, responsible for ensuring all recruitment and pre-employment processes meet the highest standards of regulatory compliance, governance and quality assurance.
Working closely with HR, recruitment teams and senior stakeholders, you will act as the subject matter expert on recruitment compliance, ensuring all hiring activity aligns with Irish legislation, healthcare regulations and organisational policies.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong healthcare compliance experience who enjoys improving processes, driving best practice and maintaining audit readiness in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the organisation's lead advisor on recruitment compliance and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure all recruitment activity complies with Irish employment legislation, GDPR and relevant healthcare regulations.
- Oversee and audit pre-employment screening processes, including Garda Vetting, professional registration checks, references, right-to-work documentation and international clearances.
- Maintain audit-ready recruitment records and implement robust quality assurance processes.
- Develop and update recruitment policies, procedures and standard operating processes in line with legislative changes and best practice.
- Partner with HR, hiring managers and operational leaders to provide guidance on complex compliance matters and candidate vetting.
- Identify compliance risks and implement effective solutions to strengthen governance and reduce operational risk.
- Deliver compliance training and guidance to recruitment teams and hiring managers.
- Monitor compliance metrics and reporting to support continuous improvement.
- Contribute to ongoing projects that enhance recruitment governance, quality and operational efficiency.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A relevant third-level qualification in Human Resources, Compliance, Law, Healthcare Administration or a related discipline.
- A minimum of five years' experience in compliance, audit, HR or governance, with significant experience within the Irish healthcare or social care sector.
- Strong working knowledge of Irish employment legislation, GDPR, Garda Vetting requirements and healthcare regulatory standards.
- Experience managing high-volume pre-employment screening and compliance processes.
- Excellent analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the confidence to advise and influence at all levels.
- Experience using HRIS, ATS or compliance management systems.
- A proactive approach with a passion for continuous improvement and operational excellence.
