Job Description
Industrial Maintenance Technician opportunity within Airbus Operations, Getafe (Madrid). The Industrial Maintenance team is responsible for ensuring high performance, reliability and maximum technical availability of our state‑of‑the‑art manufacturing assets. The team works in a multidisciplinary and highly technical environment, managing complex automation and electrical systems.
The successful candidate will reinforce our maintenance engineering unit, taking a proactive role in troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis and team supervision to support the optimisation of our production lines' asset life cycle.
Responsibilities
- Execute Level 4 and above corrective and preventive maintenance on complex industrial assets, strictly respecting all applicable HSE rules.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis on automated and electrical systems to implement permanent and suitable technical solutions.
- Supervise and guide industrial maintenance operators during complex system maintenance activities and technical interventions.
- Manage the full lifecycle of Work Orders (WO) in the CMMS, ensuring accurate data entry, tracking and timely closure.
- Contribute to maintainability and reliability analyses (such as PARETO, cost tracking and Reliability‑Centred Maintenance – RCM).
- Provide detailed diagnostic feedback to supervisors, maintenance engineers and Asset Managers to improve asset availability and meet MTTR business objectives.
- Availability to work triple shift.
Skills
- Education: Senior Technical Degree (FP II) in Industrial Maintenance / Automation / Robotics.
- Experience: Proven experience in Level 4+ industrial maintenance, troubleshooting complex automated systems (CNC, PLC, FANUC, Simotion, Simatik) and machinery within a manufacturing environment.
- Technical knowledge: Deep understanding of automation and electrical systems, proficiency working with CMMS tools (SAP) and familiarity with maintenance methodologies (RCM, PARETO). Commercial robots such as Kuka, FANUC...
- Soft skills: Strong problem‑solving mindset, leadership skills to supervise operators and excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross‑functional asset teams.
- Languages: Basic level in English.
- Valuable / Nice to have: Previous experience in aerospace or automotive manufacturing assets; mechanical & electrical knowledge to interpret diagrams or plans.
