Maintenance Technician - Seville Apartments

Position

Maintenance Technician – Monroe Group, Beaumont, TX.

Overview

Under the supervision and direction of the Community Manager, this position is responsible for ensuring the overall physical aspects of the community meet the established standards for safety, appearance, and operation within the budgeted financial goal including, but not limited to, the interior and exterior of the building, plus all other areas related to the day-to-day function of the building and activity of the residence; oversees outside contracts and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, appliances, and exterior structure
• Perform property and unit inspections
• Maintain the property curb appeal and general cleanliness
• Schedule and maintain the Make‑Ready Board
• Purchase materials and manage budget
• Ensure that maintenance teams deliver safe, decent, and sanitary housing to all residents

Requirements

• Previous experience in apartment/multi‑family maintenance
• English language proficiency (read, speak, write)
• Ability to pass a full background check
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• At least one year of maintenance technician experience including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliance repair
• Experience in an affordable housing environment preferred
• Technical training and license preferred
